Sporting’s physiotherapist, Tiago Melo, was expelled in Braga (1-1 draw on matchday four) for having grabbed a ball catcher from the Minho emblem “with a violent hug”, in order to take the ball from his hands.
According to the document, the physiotherapist practiced “violation of duties of courtesy and correction” by having “a physical or aggressive behavior towards a ball catcher”.
The explanation appears in the report of the referee of the match, Luís Godinho, from AF Évora. Tiago Melo’s behavior also earned him a fine of 756 euros.
