Coach of the Minho emblem will miss the trip to Moreirense’s ground
Braga coach Artur Jorge was suspended for one game by the Disciplinary Council (CD) of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) after being sent off in the game against Sporting (1-1), on the fourth round of the I Liga. The coach from Minho thus misses Braga’s trip to Moreirense on Saturday, a late match for the third round of the championship.
Artur Jorge was expelled in the reception to the lions (1-1), last Sunday, after having protested a possible penalty shot in favor of Braga. “He expressed his disagreement by jumping up and waving vehemently, raising and lowering his arms, in a clear sign of repudiation, and shouted ‘This is a penalty, this is a penalty, dammit, it’s a penalty'”, can be read in the report of the referee of the match, Luís Godinho.
Artur Jorge was also fined €2,040.
