Statements by Miguel Ribeiro, president of Famalicão, at the “Thinking Football Summit”, a League event taking place in Porto until Saturday
Miguel Ribeiro, president of Famalicão, was at the “Thinking Football Summit” this Friday, a League event taking place in Porto until Saturday, admitting that he has so far had more coaches than he would like during his presidency.
“The issue of coaches is sensitive. I usually jokingly say to João Pedro Sousa: ‘I’m in charge of the club, but you’re in charge of the team’. The coach is the key player. We had some coaches… more than I would like. I would like of having only had João Pedro Sousa”, he began by saying about the topic.
“My regret is that João Pedro Sousa didn’t have his fifth season. Because of his competence, I recognize him, because of what I like about him. Today it’s a joy to be able to count on him and a sadness that he wasn’t there all this time”, he concluded.
