Morita participated in Japan’s surprising defeat of the German team (1-4), at the Volkswagen Arena, in Wolfsburg. The Sporting midfielder played the 90 minutes at a high pace and contributed with his performance to the Japanese team’s fantastic night.
Junya, Ayase Ueda, Takuma Asano and Tanaka scored the goals. Leroy Sané scored for the German national team. Morita also had an opportunity to score, but Ter Stegen prevented the Sporting player’s goal. As expected, the public cheered the German team with a huge whistle at the end of the match.
