Grêmio held another training session this Monday morning (11) at CT Luiz Carvalho, in Porto Alegre. The main news of the activity, which only had the warm-up open to the press, involved Luis Suárez and Geromel, who worked in the field.
Right-back João Pedro was preserved and stayed in the academy. However, it is not a concern for the game on Thursday (14), at 9:30 pm, against RB Bragantino. Unlike left-back Cuiabano, who suffers from muscle pain, he just ran around the pitch, and is doubtful for the match in Bragança Paulista.
Suarez returns
Luis Suárez returned after three days off. He agreed with the coaching staff and management to reverse the rest period. While his teammates were off from Monday to Friday, the Uruguayan center forward worked from Tuesday to Thursday at CT, and was released from Friday to Sunday.
El Gunslinger trained normally. Against Bragantino, the number 9 will try to maintain the sequence of goals he has improved in the last two matches, against Cruzeiro and Cuiabá. He will also look to improve his record away from home, where he has scored just two of his 18 goals for Grêmio so far.
Geromel advances in recovery
Geromel has advanced in the recovery process from a grade 1 muscle injury to the biceps femoris of his left thigh. The defender, who is in the physical transition phase, trained on the pitch.
However, he is doubtful for the trip to São Paulo. At least against RB Bragantino, Rodrigo Ely, who will give a press conference this Tuesday (12), should once again be a starter in defense alongside Kannemann.
Travel on Wednesday
Grêmio still carries out two more training sessions before the trip to the interior of São Paulo. The activity on Wednesday (13) should feature the return of Gabriel Grando and Bitello, who were serving on the Pre-Olympic Team.
In the afternoon, the delegation travels by plane to Guarulhos, and from there goes by bus to Atibaia, where it will remain concentrated until the 17th. After the game against Bragantino, Tricolor Gaúcho faces Corinthians, on Monday (18), at 9pm, at NeoQuímica Arena.
