This Tuesday (12), images of Corinthians’ new third shirt for the 2023/2024 season were leaked on social media. Nike, Timão’s sporting equipment supplier, held a photo shoot in Vale do Anhangabaú, in the center of São Paulo, and fans passing by recorded the moment.
The shirt, predominantly yellow and which will be used following the current season and in 2024, has black details on the sides. The theme is Corinthian Democracy, following the pattern of shirts 1 and 2.
For the men’s team, Cássio, Renato Augusto and Yuri Alberto were at the photo shoot, while Luana Bertolucci, Gabi Zanotti and Grazi represented the women’s team. Zé Maria, the club’s historic idol, also posed, as did singer MC Hariel, a fanatical Alvinegro fan.
After the images were leaked, several Corinthians fans began to give their opinion about the uniform on social media. The overwhelming majority seems not to have approved the new piece, especially the yellowish tone. Check out some reactions:

Why did the photo shoot take place in Vale do Anhangabaú?
Nike’s choice for Vale do Anhangabaú has a special motivation. The place was the stage for the historic Diretas Já movement, which saw the active participation of Corinthians players, such as Sócrates, Casagrande and Wladimir. On that occasion, the athletes wore yellow colors at the famous 1984 rally.
Leader of the movement, Sócrates made a statement that was immortalized in the general history of Brazil: “I’m not leaving our country”, shouted the former number 10 shirt, asking for the approval of the Dante de Oliveira Amendment, in an attempt to introduce direct elections in Brazil.
When will Corinthians debut the new uniform?
Corinthians is expected to promote the official launch of its new 3 uniform in the coming days. The tendency is for the debut to be on September 22nd (Friday), against Botafogo, at Neo Química Arena, in the 24th round of the Brazilian Championship.
It is worth noting that in addition to the Brasileirão, Timão also competes in the Copa Sudamericana. After eliminating Estudiantes on penalties, coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo’s team secured a place in the semifinals of the continental tournament. The opponent this time will be Fortaleza.
