Loaned by Benfica to Botafogo, Gabriel adds interest in Brazil

Grémio and Atlético Mineiro will be interested in the Brazilian midfielder, who has a contract with the Eagles until 2025.

Loaned to Botafogo until the end of the year, Gabriel may be on the verge of no longer having his name on the list of Benfica’s players. In addition to the club he currently represents, the 29-year-old midfielder’s performances are arousing the interest of more Brazilian clubs, to the point that yesterday it was reported in Brazil that Atlético Mineiro and Grémio are also evaluating the situation of the player who does not enter the implemented plans and still has a working contract until 2025.

At Luz, plans suggest that the player, signed in 2018/19 and who cost 9.67 million euros to the red coffers, will not receive a ticket to return. Benfica wants to sell and at SAD there is a high expectation that a deal can be done that will allow part of the investment to be recovered.
