Left-back was an option in Portugal’s under-21s, midfielder was an unused substitute in the Peru national team.
Leonardo Buta, left-back loaned by Italians Udinese to Gil Vicente, appears to have stuck with Portugal’s under-21s. In his debut, he was a total player in the two qualifying games for the 2024 European Championship, first against Andorra (3-0) and this Tuesday against Belarus (5-0). Buta also participated in five official games for the Barcelos team, four of them playing the 90′, now arriving at Gil Vicente with selection pace.
The same can be said of Jesús Castillo, a midfielder who participated, as a substitute, in Peru’s two World Cup qualifying games, against Paraguay (0-0) and Brazil (0-1).
