Flamengo fans evaluate the squad’s position in the ranking
Despite being one of the most expensive squads in world football, Flamengo fans protested on social media with the publication of the ranking. For most Flamengo fans, the team does not present a performance worthy of the amount invested.
And this involves both the quality of the athletes on the field, which is being questioned by the Rubro-Negra Nation, as well as the command of coach Jorge Sampaoli, who in popular opinion is one of those mainly responsible for not making the team play.
In 4th place in the Brazilian Championship, with 39 points, Mengão has come from four games without losing, including beating Botafogo, away from home by 2 x 1. However, due to the expectations generated, fans were very disappointed with the lack of titles of expression.
Eliminated from the Libertadores by Olímpia of Paraguay, in the round of 16, Sampaoli’s team was left to compete in the finals of the Copa do Brasil. The Rio team takes to the field this Wednesday (13) to face Athletico Paranaense, in the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship.
I don’t think Flamengo’s problem is a lack of players, I believe it’s the coach and lack of command, our squad is still very strong.

Players worth 200 thousand in salary earning 700 thousand, players worth 700 thousand in salary earning more than 1 million. That’s the problem, players earning what they’re not worth, that’s why a salary bill of 40 million per month

When do the Copa do Brasil finals take place?
Flamengo faces Athletico Paranaense with a view to competing in the final of the Copa do Brasil, against São Paulo. The first game of the decision takes place this Sunday (17th), at Maracanã, at 4pm (Brasília time), and the return game is scheduled for the following week, October 24th, also at 4pm, at Morumbi Stadium.
