Vasco signs agreement to release public in São Januário
As São Januário was still closed and was only released to the public after signing the TAC with the Public Ministry, last Wednesday, and Maracanã is closed for the restoration of the pitch with an eye on the final of the Copa do Brasil, Vasco took the classic with Fluminense for Nilton Santos. Cruz-Maltino even considered taking the match to another state, but, due to CBF deadlines, they kept the duel in Rio de Janeiro.
This Saturday’s classic will pit clubs that are in very different situations in the Brazilian Championship face to face. 21 points separate Fluminense from Vasco. While Tricolor is in 5th place, with 38, Cruz-Maltino is only 18th, with 17 points.
