Antwerp, FC Porto’s opponent in group H of the Champions League, won 3-0 today when traveling to the Westerlo stadium, in a match on the seventh round of the Belgian League.
The visitors took the lead in the 15th minute, through striker Vincent Janssen, from the Netherlands, and completed the triumph in the second half, with two more goals, from midfielder Jelle Bataille, in the 68th, and Albanian striker Arbnor Muja.
With the three points added, Antwerp provisionally rose to fourth place, with 11 points (6 games), but the leader is Gent, with 13 (5), followed by Anderlecht, with 13 (6), Cercle Brugge , with 12 (6).
Antwerp is part of Group H of the Champions League, together with Barcelona, traveling to Camp Nou on Tuesday, in a group that also includes FC Porto and the Ukrainian side Shakhtar, who face each other on the same day, in Hamburg, Germany.
