Braga lost this Saturday at Farense, 3-1, in a game counting for the fifth round of Betclic, in which goalkeeper Matheus had some mishaps. After the match, the goalkeeper took to social media to take part of the responsibility for the defeat.
“Nothing went well today. I accept my responsibility. Now, I have to work hard, so that we can come back stronger in the next game. Together we will turn this around”, can be read in Matheus’ post.
This was the second defeat for the Minho team in the championship, after the defeat in the first round, against Famalicão (1-2).
On Wednesday, Braga visits Naples in the first round of the Champions League group stage.
