This Friday (15), Grêmio celebrates 120 years of history. Imortal’s biggest rival, Internacional congratulated the tricolor club on social media with a simple and succinct message. “Happy birthday, Grêmio”, published Colorado shortly after midnight.

Inter’s attitude caused people to talk and became the reason for many jokes and jokes among Grêmio fans. Comments such as “thank you, my son”, “it’s always good to be polite to your father”, “blessing for your father” were published by the tricolors. Check out some reactions:

Historical retrospective between Grêmio x Internacional

The last clash between the teams took place on May 21st. In a match valid for the Brasileirão, Grêmio counted on an inspired performance from Luis Suárez to beat their arch-rivals 3-1, also at home.

When will Grêmio and Inter face each other again?

GreNal 440 already has a defined date, time and location. The rivals will meet again on October 8th, starting at 4pm (Brasília time), at Beira-Rio, home of Colorado. The classic will be valid for the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship.

Grêmio and Inter are going through different moments in the season

In 2023, Grêmio won the Campeonato Gaúcho for the sixth consecutive time. However, in this final stretch of the season, it is Inter fans who have been smiling the most. This is because Colorado is a semi-finalist in the Copa Libertadores and has a good chance of reaching the continental decision.

Tricolor, in turn, was recently eliminated from the Copa do Brasil, has no continental competitions on its calendar and, therefore, will only compete in the Brasileirão until the end of the season. In the points tournament, Imortal occupies third place. Inter, in turn, is 11th.
