Flamengo and São Paulo will face each other at 4pm (from Brasília) this Sunday (17), for the first game of the Copa do Brasil final. Even though the pre-decision was tense for both teams, the atmosphere was very friendly around Maracanã. Friendly fans, red and black and São Paulo fans shared the tranquility in Rio de Janeiro.
O Football in the Vein had their correspondents present on the outskirts of Maracanã, who reported the peace between Flamengo and São Paulo. Tricolors walked among the red-black fans, and the visitors were not disturbed in the South Sector. Independente and Raça Rubro-Negra, the teams’ main organizers, have been friends for a long time.
North Sector is peaceful. Lots of people entering, but the reinforced security leaves the atmosphere calm.
