São Paulo’s 1-0 victory over Flamengo in the first game of the Copa do Brasil final generated a lot of discussion at the end of Sunday. Among them, the disagreement between presenter Flávio Prado and reporter Rodrigo Viga, during the program Canelada, on Jovem Pan, which became one of the most talked about topics on Twitter this Monday post-decision.
The discussion between the two professionals would have started after Viga questioned Flávio Prado’s position in relation to Gabriel Barbosa, who was booed by Flamengo fans because of his performance, and the attacker would have retaliated, mocking the protest.
For Flávio Prado, the stance of the Rubro Negro center forward was proportional to the criticism he received. The presenter saw no problem with the way Gabigol handled the matter, unlike Viga, who did not think the Flamengo star’s attitude was correct, and even called Flávio a “player’s lawyer”.
Gabigol’s request for a salary increase for Flamengo also generated friction between Viga and Flávio Prado. The athlete asked to win two million reais, which in Viga’s opinion would be absurd given what the Rubro Negro player has shown in recent games.
On the other hand, Flávio Prado thought the attitude of the Rio team’s attacker was correct. For him, evaluating the possibility of passing or not increasing the athlete’s salary would be the club’s responsibility. At that moment, the Jovem Pan commentator called Viga a “fan with a microphone”.

On Twitter, fans debated Flávio Prado’s stance, mainly in relation to the statement about what he calls “fan journalists”, who supposedly “wield broadcaster microphones”, putting the vehicle’s credibility in doubt.

Tricolor Paulista opened up an advantage over Flamengo in the 1st game of the Copa do Brasil final. Dorival Júnior’s men beat Rubro-Negro by the score of 1 x 0, a goal scored by Calleri, and now they only need a draw to lift the competition’s trophy in an unprecedented way.
