Clément Noël, Alexis Pinturault and Tessa Worley are on the list unveiled by the French Ski Federation on Monday
The French leaders will be there. France will be represented by 19 skiers at “its” 2023 Alpine World Ski Championships in Courchevel/Méribel (February 6-19)
Not surprisingly, the selection includes Clément Noël, 2022 Olympic slalom champion and only French winner in the World Cup this winter, Alexis Pinturault, winner of the World Cup 2020-21, the double world champion 2021 (giant slalom and parallel) Mathieu Faivre and the double world champion giant slalom Tessa Worley (2013, 2017).
Marie Lamure, 21, Anouck Errard, 23, and Chiara Pogneaux, 20, will participate in their first World Championships after a handful of World Cup starts. France has a total of 24 quotas. However, it will be without Thibaut Favrot and Victor Muffat-Jeandet, both injured. This selection will be completed after the Chamonix slalom, the last men’s World Cup event before the 2023 World Championships scheduled for Saturday, said the FFS.
