At this stage, the list of possibilities is narrower and includes Oliver Villadsen, a 21-year-old defender for the Danes from Nordsjaelland, the club he came from… Schjelderup in the January market.
The young full-back, usual holder of the runner-up of Denmark, will have motivated a poll by Benfica, as reported yesterday by the local newspaper « Tipsbladet ». In fact, according to O JOGO confirmed, Villadsen was observed and the target of positive reports, not least because of the fact that in the sights of the red prospection the Nordsjaelland games were because of Schjelderup.
Evaluated at 2.5 million euros by the specialized website Transfermarkt, the Danish under-21 international will have a real price, from the perspective of his emblem, above five million euros, in addition to a part of the full-back’s pass, pointing to a future valuation. This season, Villadsen has started all nine of his team’s games and has scored a goal. In the previous one, he started 35 of the 39 games for his club, accumulating three assists.
A young player with room for advancement, Villadsen fits the profile defined by the reds to compete with compatriot Bah, in a decision taken after Roger Schmidt failed central João Victor in the attempt to adapt to the right of the defense during pre-season.
SAD refuses transfer of Bah
Benfica are still looking for an alternative to Bah, at a time when news emerged in Denmark about the interest of three Premier League emblems in the 25-year-old right-back, signed last season for 8.6 million euros from Slávia Praga. Arsenal, West Ham and Nottingham Forest will be tempted to advance in this market window by the holder of the Reds, who, however, do not admit the sale at this stage of the season, much less for the reported 30 million euros. It is worth remembering that the Danish international is protected by a release clause of €100 million.
