Botafogo fans prepared a big party to receive the players before the match against Bahia, this Sunday, at Nilton Santos. As the team climbed onto the pitch, the fans made a mosaic in honor of three of the greatest idols in the club’s history.
The mosaic was done throughout the stadium, but in the East Sector was the main part. A large “panel” was created with images of Didi, Garrincha and Nilton Santos. The three idols were represented as angels with wings. In the Upper East sector, blue signs and yellow stars formed a sky. In other sectors, fans raised white balloons.
The mosaic of Botafogo fans is too beautiful. Didi, Garrincha and Nilton Santos honored with a starry sky in the background. Fuck! @trivela pic.twitter.com/aHeILe1xGf

Leader, Botafogo is supported by 40 thousand
Botafogo has a large audience this Sunday at Nilton Santos. Tickets for the match have been sold out since last Wednesday. Around 40,000 fans are expected to be present at the stadium.
This was not the first mosaic of Botafogo fans in this Brazilian Championship. Recently, in the game against Inter, the fans honored the two Brazilian titles won in 1968 and 1995. The mosaic also pointed to a new possible conquest.
Against Red Bull Bragantino, the mosaic had a drawing of the dog Biriba, the club’s mascot, holding binoculars. In the lens, the Brazilian Championship cup.
