Striker Vitinho, who played for Flamengo between 2018 and 2022, scored a goal last Thursday (24) for Al Ettifaq, from Saudi Arabia. With a free kick, the Brazilian sent a low kick, to the surprise of the goalkeeper, as Ronaldinho Gaúcho did. The great goal had repercussions on social networks, and the Red-Black fans reacted to the goal with jokes and comparisons.
VITINHO MAGIC!
Look what he did to tie the match between @Ettifaq_EN, your club, and Al-Khaleej! 1-1 on the scoreboard thanks to that home goal. Few succeed!

For some Flamengo fans, Vitinho would be more useful than Everton Cebolinha, the club’s reserve striker today and who has not yet presented his football from the days of Grêmio.
Vitinho better than Chives

I miss Vitinho every time Cebolinha is on the field.

Chives make me miss VITINHO

In comparison, player numbers are close on average. Vitinho made 214 games, scored 29 goals and distributed 33 assists, an average of 0.29 participation in goals per game. Cebolinha, with seven goals and 13 assists in 77 games, has an average of 0.26.
Due to the similarity in numbers – and performance – part of the fans made it clear that they did not like the comparison and did not forget the athlete’s negative moments, now in Arab football, in Flamengo’s time.
This boy is bloodless!
He was annoying at Flamengo, thank God he left. Be happy !— Me (@RodrigoJANJAN) August 25, 2023
At Flamengo, he would have hit the back of the barrier.

Away from Flamengo, Vitinho lives a good moment coached by Gerrard
Al Ettifaq is not one of the four teams (Al Hilal, Al Ahli, Al Nassr and Al Ittihad) that have been receiving investments from the Saudi government. Therefore, he did not have resources like his rivals, such as Neymar at Al Hilal, Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr and Karim Benzema at Ittihad. But he had good signings, such as Jordan Henderson, Liverpool idol, and Moussa Dembele, Belgian with passages through Paris Saint-Germain, Atlético de Madrid and Lyon.
Who trains Vitinho, Henderson, Dembele and the Brazilian goalkeeper Paulo Victor, formerly of Grêmio and Flamengo, is Steven Gerrard, historic player of the English national team and Liverpool. As a coach, he is still « walking » in his career and since he did a good job at Rangers, in Scotland, he has not had good streaks in English football.
With the Englishman training him, Vitinho has a good start to the season at Al Ettifaq. In three rounds, there are two goals and an assist. His team is in 4th place and undefeated so far with two wins and a draw. Compared to last season, the Brazilian almost equaled the number of goals (three) scored and assists (two), only in 27 matches.
