A group of approximately 30 Flamengo fans gathered outside the Gabigol’s party, to protest against the attacker’s celebration, in the midst of the team’s turbulent moment. The event took place in Itanhangá, near Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio.
The “Powerful Gabi” party received a lot of criticism on social networks, especially due to the attacker’s low performance. Flamengo is also experiencing a 2023 of many frustrations, which have already culminated in aggression between teammates and many intrigues. The early elimination in the Libertadores, against Olimpia, was the most recent failure.
Even though Rubro-Negro is in the final of the Copa do Brasil, players, coaching staff and board suffer constant criticism, and not even the idol Gabi was saved. Some fans carried a banner with the words: “Party is the (email protected)#$%” and raised the tone of the attacks, but the protest was considered peaceful.
As a precaution, the organizers protected the venue with metal signs, in addition to having hired private security guards and a Military Police vehicle. The fans left quickly, after also having hostile some names of the cast and board, such as Rodolfo Landim and Marcos Braz.
