Bahia agreed on the definitive purchase of Marcos Felipe, from Fluminense. Loaned by the club from Rio de Janeiro, the goalkeeper has stood out at Tricolor de Aço and is one of the main players in the squad. He will sign a new bond with the Bahians and will remain permanently until the end of 2027. The information was first released by ‘ge’, and confirmed by the report from Futebol na Veia.
It should be noted that the purchase option fixed in the contract was 2.5 million euros. However, sources revealed to the report that Bahia paid R$ 3 million to Fluminense for the permanent signing of Marcos Felipe.
The goalkeeper was one of the players who were part of the Bahia reinforcements package agreed with Fluminense. In addition to him, Tricolor de Aço hired defender David Duarte on loan and bought striker Gabriel Teixeira, a youngster from the Laranjeiras team.
Down at Fluminense, Marcos Felipe found himself again at Bahia
Revealed by Fluminense, Marcos Felipe lived his best season at the Rio de Janeiro club in 2021, when he entered the field 65 times. In the following year, however, he saw that script change drastically and ended up losing space with the arrival of the experienced and multi-champion Fábio.
Fabio’s backup last season, Marcos Felipe asked Fluminense to be loaned out as he wanted more playing time. Bahia emerged as an option and, since then, things have been going well for the 27-year-old archer. The phase at Tricolor de Aço is good, a factor that was decisive for the club’s decision to hire him permanently.
In the current season, Marcos Felipe entered the field 46 times. Goal holder for Bahia, the former Fluminense player has 19 wins, 13 draws and 14 defeats, with 53 goals conceded.
Who are the current options for Fluminense’s goal?
Xodó of Fluminense fans, Fábio is the absolute starter of coach Fernando Diniz. In addition to the former Cruzeiro, Tricolor has two more options for the goal: Vitor Eudes and Pedro Rangel. The first was hired in December 2022 and was defending Marítimo, from Portugal. With a bond until the end of 2025, the 24-year-old archer has yet to debut for the Laranjeiras club.
Pedro Rangel, on the other hand, is trained in the youth teams of Fluminense and played four games in the current season. The last one was against Athletico-PR, Sunday (27), at Ligga Arena, for the 21st round of the Brazilian Championship.
