The Corinthians campaign in Sudamericana

Corinthians is in the Copa Sudamericana thanks to its campaign in the Libertadores. Third in Group E, Timão ended up ‘relegated’ to the other tournament. His first challenge at Sula was to eliminate Universitario, from Peru. With two wins (1 to 0 and 2 to 1), the Luxembourg team had no fears.

Last but not least, in the quarterfinals Corinthians faced Estudiantes. With a 1-0 victory for each side, the decision went to penalties, and the rest is history. Cassio and the beam decided.
