Vieirinha on Verge of Wolfsburg Move

PAOK to Wolfsburg? Yeah, probably

According to reports coming out of everywhere, PAOK winger Vieirinha has completed a move to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg pending a medical. On their website, PAOK made a one-sentence announcement that said that Vieirinha has signed for the German team. Reports coming out of Portugal believe the fee to be around 4.5, 1.3 of which goes to Porto because of a future transfer clause. This move comes as no surprise to anyone who has ever watched or followed the Greek league. Vieirinha has been voted the league’s best player twice in a row, and his performances in the Europa League have silenced any doubters. According to the winger’s agent, the contract runs for 3.5 years.

Vieirinha Scores Yet Again

Vieirinha is continuing to set the Greek Leage alight, after he scored in PAOK’s 3-0 demolition of AEK Athens. The winger’s goal brought his tally to two goals in four games, which is an impressive return for a winger. Vieirinha has already been in impressive form for the Greek club this season, already having scored twice in the Europa League. His performances have gone largely unnoticed outside of Greece, however. A Portugal National Team call-up has been on the cards for some time now, but it always seems to not happen. With more performances such as this and against such opposition as Tottenham and Villareal, where he has been known to shine, a call-up may just be around the corner.

OFFICIAL: Edinho Loaned to PAOK

Its official…..I think. Edinho has moved to PAOK, of Greece, on loan from Malaga until the end of the season. PAOK will have the option of buying the Portuguese international at the end of the season for around a million Euros, if they so choose. Once again, Edinho is searching to find more first-team playing time to catch the bus to South Africa this summer. Edinho will be playing alongside fellow Portuguese, Vieirinha, who has been explosive this season, playing 17 games and scoring 5. I think that this move will be beneficial for Edinho as he will have a greater chance of being selected by Quieroz if he is playing in Greece than if he was playing at Maritimo in Portugal.
